Memory Tree Event. Join us for our annual Memory Tree Event at On the Farm Shops. Gather with friends and family and be supported as we remember and honour the memory of our loved ones at the start of the holiday season.

Hike for Hospice A Success!

Thank you for making the 6th Annual Hike for Hospice a great success! We were thrilled ot raise $3000.00 on our hike day.

We would love to thank everyone that came out to walk with us, our very special MC Bill McNeney and each person that donated to the Hospice Society and a special thanks to the following businesses that sponsored our event day:

Hike For Hospice May 5th

The Squamish Hospice Society's 6th Annual Hike for Hospice
Hike for Hospice is a national fundraising event that takes place each year across Canada and raises funds to support hospice and palliative care programs. The Hospice Society is looking for community members to raise funds for this event via pledges for the hike. We challenge offices and organizations to create teams and challenge other business to see who can raise the most funds for the Hike for Hospice.
Why: The Squamish Hike for Hospice is a fundraiser aimed at advancing hospice and palliative care in our community.  80% of Canadian say they want quality care at the end of life, yet only 15% have access to it.
The Squamish Hospice Society is a volunteer organization that actively promotes support directed towards improving the quality of life for the dying, their loved ones and the bereaved in the Sea to Sky Community. All funds raised at the Squamish Hike for Hospice will go to support local programs. 
Where: Station Mall in front of Nester's Market. The Hike itself is a walk from Station Mall, under the underpass, through Rose Park and Lilly's Garden to the Adventure Centre and back to Station Mall for refreshments and snacks.
When:  Hike takes place on May 5th. Registration is at 9:30am hike begins at 10am. Whether you make a donation or not we would love to see you come out on Hike day to support Hospice in your Community!

Extended Bereavement Walking Program for Spring

Squamish Hospice Society invites you to join the BEREAVEMENT WALKING PROGRAM for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one.

It’s a time to walk and talk, at a relaxed pace, with others who are grieving; to share ideas and support, and benefit from some fresh air and exercise.

Join the walk with two trained hospice volunteers.

There is no charge to participate    

We will get together rain or shine

Tuesdays, April 2 - May 7 

Meet at the Squamish Adventure Centre

Gathering Time:  9:45 am  –  Dress warmly

Walk begins at 10 am sharp

The Squamish Hospice Society is up to our annual raffle sales and we are so excited about our amazing prizes!!

1st Prize: A Hand Crafted Row Boat and Oars custome built by Ray Sandberg. This gorgeous and highly functional craft is on display at the Watershed Grill on Government Rd.


2nd Prize: 16GB  iPad Mini and Cover

3rd Prize: One Night Stay at the Crystal Lodge in Whistler

Tickets will be on sale starting March 3rd at the Winter Market at the Railway Park and every weekend to follow at varying locations: Farmer's Market, Nesters and WalMart. Please look for our Hospice Volunteers at these location and be sure to get your tickets and chance to win one of these amazing prizes.

Tickets will be sold for $5 each or 3 for $10 and the draw will take place May 5th at our 6th Annual Hike for Hospice Walk.

The Squamish Hospice Society is updating their membership list and asks you for your support. Your membership fees go to help sustaining ongoing support for the dying, their loved ones and the bereaved in the Sea to Sky Corridor.
