JOIN US FOR THE 7TH ANNUAL SQUAMISH HIKE FOR HOSPICE

On Sunday, May 4th, The Squamish Hospice Society supported by the Rotary Club of Squamish,  will join thousands of people across the country, as they come together to raise funds for hospice palliative care programs and services. Although this is a national event aimed to raise awareness for hospice and palliative care all funds raised in Squamish will go directly to programs for the Sea to Sky Corridor.

We are asking you to join us as a team or individual, challenge your friends and coworkers to collect pledges and raise funds for hospice support programs. You can also register your team and collect pledges online.

WHEN:  The Hike for Hospice Palliative Care is to be held on May 4th. Registration at 11am and Hike Starts at 1pm

WHERE: Overflow Fields at Brennan Park, which is located next to the Logger’s Sports Grounds.

WHAT: Hike one of two new exciting loop routes, a gentle walking route to the Rotary Community Garden OR a  slightly more energetic hike to the top of the Smoke Bluffs, both routes will return to the Overflow Fields at Brennan Park.   There will be food, balloons, entertainment and family activities to wrap up the afternoon.

WHY: At some point we are all affected by death and loss, Hospice programs support the dying and their families and friends through end of life, as well as with grief and bereavement.
