Happy New Year!

As we move into 2016 we would like to thank all of the people who continue to support the Squamish Hospice Society and enable us to continue to offer valuable programs of support to our community in their time of need. Having moved through the holidays we are even more attuned to the importance of each life and the understanding that for many each day has moments of joy and sorrow. It is our hope to continue to be there for people in their difficult times and to journey with them as they navigate their new reality.

We thank our community supporters, fundraising sponsors and our amazing volunteers in helping us in this work.

Great News

Back in October the Canadian Cancer Society decided to scrap there volunteer driver program which offers ride to chemotherapy appointments for people who need them. This left many people facing cancer and needing treatment in dire straights. Thanks to a group of dedicated and caring volunteers of this program in Squamish our local community no longer needs to worry about the added stress of finding a ride to the city for their appointment.

The Squamish Volunteer Drivers for Cancer Program is a go and the Squamish Hospice Society is very pleased to have been a part of keeping this much needed service in our community. Collaborating with the volunteer drivers and organizers, Squamish Hospice Society is the umbrella organization receiving donations on behalf of this group and enabling them to move forward and offer much needed rides to people in need.

If you are interested in supporting the Squamish Volunteer Drivers for Cancer Program you can make a donation via our website with the note "for driver program". Please note these donations will directly to the Volunteer Driver Program. It is our hope that while you support this important volunteer program and much needed service you continue to donate to the Squamish Hospice Society to ensure support for those in our community facing life limiting illness and grief.
